ICPP – 2025

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), in collaboration with the Indian Society for Plant Physiology (ISPP), is pleased to host the International Conference on Plant Physiology from 15ᵗʰ to 18ᵗʰ December 2025 at TNAU, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. This prestigious event will serve as a global platform for scientists, researchers, academicians, industry experts, and students to share recent advancements and future directions in the field of plant physiology and allied sciences.

The conference aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration by bringing together leading researchers working at the frontiers of plant physiology. Key focus areas will include crop stress physiology, climate resilience, molecular and cellular plant physiology, nutrient and water use efficiency, plant-microbe interactions, growth regulation, and biotechnological innovations for sustainable agriculture.

The scientific program will feature keynote addresses, plenary talks, invited lectures, oral and poster presentations, and panel discussions, offering participants numerous opportunities to engage, interact, and exchange knowledge. Special sessions will also be organized to encourage young scientists and students, with awards for outstanding contributions.

Set in the vibrant and agriculturally rich city of Coimbatore, this conference promises a stimulating academic environment, opportunities for collaboration, and insights into the evolving challenges and solutions in plant science.

We cordially invite you to participate in this important international event and contribute to shaping the future of sustainable agriculture through plant physiology and molecular approaches.

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU)

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) is a prestigious institution with over a century of history in agricultural education. It had its genesis from the establishment of an Agricultural School at Saidapet, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, as early as 1868 which was later relocated at Coimbatore during 1906. Till 1946, the Agricultural College and Research Institute, Coimbatore was the only institute which offered agricultural education for the whole of South India. In 1958, it was recognized as a Postgraduate Centre for offering Masters and Doctoral degrees. The Agricultural College and Research Institute, Madurai was established in 1965. These two colleges formed the nucleus of the TNAU when it was established in 1971 to offer four years B.Sc. (Agriculture) degree program. As a non-profit public institution, TNAU was the first State Agricultural University (SAU) accredited by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). It is involved in imparting education in agriculture and allied sciences and technologies for the success of students at the regional, national and global levels. TNAU is also involved in the development of new knowledge, technologies in agriculture and allied areas for the benefit of farmers and other stakeholders. At present TNAU encompasses 19 colleges, 42 research stations and 15 Krishi Vigyan Kendra spread across the state of Tamil Nadu to cater agricultural education, research and extension.

Indian Society for Plant Physiology (ISPP)

The Indian Society for Plant Physiology is one of the oldest academic societies in India. The society is based at National Agriculture Science Centre of ICAR, New Delhi. The main focus of the society is to bring plant scientists together to work synergistically towards solving the problems facing humankind and to generate a critical mass to provide a strong platform for deliberations on important issues of agricultural research, education and extension and presenting views of the scientific community as policy inputs to planners and decision makers at national/international levels.
